Fees and Cancellations

As a counsellor, I work outside the Medicare system. This means you do not need a referral from a GP.  My fees are often lower or equivalent to the gap fee required with a visit to most services that offer Medicare rebates.

If you have Private Health Insurance with Extras cover, you may be able to claim benefits for counselling. You will need to check with your Health Fund as to whether you are eligible for rebates.

If due to financial reasons you are unable to pay the full fee, please don't hesitate to contact me so we can discuss payment on a sliding scale.

Payment is requested before your appointment to allow maximum time to be spent during your session.

  • 15 min free introductory Call

This is a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we are a good fit. Relating to your counsellor is an important step in the process. This call will also give us the opportunity to discuss what you would like to focus on.

Counselling sessions are a non-judgemental and safe space to feel vulnerable. Focusing on your goals and how to achieve them.

We can meet face-to-face or a safe online platform.

  • Cancellation

A minimum of 24 hours notice is required if you are unable to attend an appointment. The cancellation is required during business hours to allow sufficient time to offer the appointment time to other clients. Missed or forgotten appointments or late cancellations will incur a full fee.
